Pepperstone Review 2026: Is Pepperstone legit, which company will actually hold your money, and do withdrawals come through when you are in profit? We built this review around those questions. We checked the licences, the costs, the funding rules, the regulator records and the complaints traders posted in public.

Short answer: Pepperstone is one of the strongest brokers we have reviewed so far. It started in Melbourne in 2010, holds licences from ASIC, the UK FCA, CySEC, BaFin and the DFSA, and its Razor account has competitive trading costs. It has weaknesses, though. Traders outside Australia, the UK, Europe, Kenya and the Middle East sign with the Bahamas company, which has no compensation fund, and some profitable traders say their accounts were closed with little explanation. We rate it 79/100, Top Rated.

What Is Pepperstone?

Pepperstone was founded in Melbourne in 2010 by Owen Kerr and Joe Davenport. A private equity group bought a majority stake in 2016, and in 2018 management, led by CEO Tamas Szabo, bought it back. The company is still private today. It says it has more than 900,000 traders and nine licensed companies around the world, and you may know the name from its sponsorship of the Aston Martin Formula 1 team.

It offers forex, gold, oil, indices, share CFDs, ETFs and crypto CFDs. Published market counts vary. One review site counts more than 1,200 markets and another counts over 2,600 symbols, while the sources we checked put the currency pair count at roughly 90. Like most global brokers, Pepperstone runs a different company for each region. The company holding your account determines which protections apply, so we look at that below.

Pepperstone Account Types, Trading Rules and Fees

Retail traders pick between two accounts. There is no cent account, and swap-free Islamic versions are available in some countries. The tested spreads below come from third-party reviews, not our own live-account tests.

AccountSpread FromCommissionEUR/USD Tested
Standard1.0 pipsNone1.1 to 1.2 pips
Razor (MT4, MT5, TradingView)0.0 pips$3.50 per side per lot ($7 round turn)0.1 to 0.2 pips plus commission
Razor (cTrader)0.0 pips$3 per side per lot ($6 round turn)0.1 to 0.2 pips plus commission

We would choose Razor for its lower trading costs. With an average EUR/USD spread of about 0.1 to 0.2 pips plus $7 a lot, the all-in cost is roughly 0.8 to 0.9 pips, and cTrader is a little cheaper again. The Standard account costs about 1.1 to 1.2 pips, which is about average, but its commission-free pricing is simpler to follow.

About the Pepperstone minimum deposit: there is no minimum to open an account. Review sites say most cards and e-wallets start at $10 and crypto at $25, while one site lists $0 and another $10. In practice, $10 is the lowest you can send with most methods, but we would not trade a live account with less than $100.

Other rules worth knowing: retail clients of the Bahamas company get leverage up to 1:200 on major currency pairs. Pepperstone advertises up to 1:500 or even 1:1000 for “Pro” clients, but that status takes away some protections, so do not ask for it just to get more leverage. Retail clients in Australia, the UK and the EU are capped at 1:30. Review sites report no inactivity fee and no deposit fee. Demo accounts on MT4 and MT5 expire after 60 days.

Pepperstone Bangladesh: Why Local Traders Are Searching for Answers

When you type Pepperstone Bangladesh into Google, the next suggestions are is Pepperstone safe and is Pepperstone legit. The key question is which company holds your account. Pepperstone’s FCA and ASIC licences look reassuring, but they do not cover a trader in Dhaka. They cover clients of its UK and Australian companies.

Bangladesh is not on the restricted lists we found. TradersUnion lists Bangladesh and India as supported, and lists the United States, Canada, Japan, New Zealand, Belgium, Spain, Iran, Myanmar and several others as restricted. Pepperstone does not publish one country list for every company, so confirm during sign-up. A Bangladeshi trader will most likely be placed with Pepperstone Markets Limited in the Bahamas.

Pepperstone Withdrawal Time, Methods and Problems

For most clients, withdrawals are quick. Review sites say most methods are processed within one business day and bank wires within about two. Payment options include Visa and Mastercard, bank wire, PayPal, Skrill, Neteller, Apple Pay, Google Pay and crypto, depending on your country. Pepperstone does not charge for deposits. Withdrawals are free on most methods, but sources disagree on international bank wires: one lists a $20 fee and another lists none, so check before you choose wire.

The complaints we found fall into two groups. The first is withdrawals stuck on “processing” or held for a few days, which Trustpilot’s own summary of Pepperstone reviews also mentions. The second, more serious, group is traders who say their account was closed soon after they became profitable. On Trustpilot, a UK trader wrote on 28 September 2026 that his account was closed abruptly once he started making money, and a German trader wrote on 22 October 2026 that his account was closed with only the reason “risk management is not in compliance”. Neither review showed a reply from Pepperstone when we checked.

Evidence: Pepperstone reviews on Trustpilot and Pepperstone reviews on Forex Peace Army.

Case Study: Profitable Accounts Closed Over “Risk Management”

Account closures stood out among the complaints we read from 2026. The German trader above says Pepperstone closed his account after his profits started, and that the only explanation he got was that his trading was “not in compliance” with risk management. The UK trader tells a similar story, and says he later got his funds back with help from a third-party recovery service. Both say they were not told which trades or which rule caused the closure.

Neither trader says Pepperstone kept his profit, and we have not seen their statements. An account closure alone does not show that a broker withheld money. The problem is the missing explanation. If it happens to you, ask in writing for the clause and the trades involved, save your full trade history, and use the formal complaint process of your Pepperstone company before you go to the regulator.

Case Study: Withdrawal Stuck on “Processing” and a $9,600 Crypto Deposit

Forex Peace Army has 385 reviews of Pepperstone, but the page was last updated in March 2024. The two newest complaints are worth reading anyway. On 26 March 2024, a trader from Singapore wrote that his withdrawal had been sitting on “processing” and he could not get his money out. On 5 March 2024, a trader from Colombia said a $9,600 deposit in USDT on the TRC20 network was never credited to his account and that Pepperstone would not fix it.

No reply from Pepperstone appears under either review, and we could not find a later update. We do not have enough evidence to identify why the crypto deposit was not credited or who was responsible. For crypto payments, send a small test amount first and use the exact network and address shown in your client portal.

Case Study: Fake “Pepperstone Markets” Website and the Pepperstone AI Scam Search

People now search Pepperstone AI scam and Pepperstone scam Reddit, and part of the reason is impersonation. On 5 October 2026, the British Columbia Securities Commission in Canada put “Pepperstone Markets (no relation to Pepperstone Group Limited)” on its investment caution list. The site behind it was peppermintschnaps.com, and the regulator told investors to proceed with extreme caution.

This is not a case against Pepperstone itself. The real broker uses pepperstone.com, and its Bahamas company is called Pepperstone Markets Limited, so the similar name could confuse traders. If someone on Telegram, WhatsApp or Facebook offers you an “AI trading bot” or account manager under the Pepperstone name, do not send money. Open your account only through the official website and check the domain before you log in.

Positive Pepperstone Reviews: What Most Clients Report

The complaints deserve attention, but most published feedback is positive. Pepperstone holds a 4.2 TrustScore on Trustpilot from about 3,700 reviews, with 80% five-star. Most recent reviews praise fast withdrawals, tight spreads on Razor and helpful live chat. On TradingView, where traders rate the brokers they connect, it scores 4.6 out of 5 from more than 36,000 ratings. Big review sites such as ForexBrokers.com and CompareForexBrokers rank it near the top for cost and trust, and one measured an average Razor EUR/USD spread of 0.1 pips in August 2026.

One caution: Pepperstone invites its customers to review it and pays for a Trustpilot subscription. That is allowed and common, but invited reviews may not reflect every client’s experience. It is also worth noticing that 10% of its Trustpilot reviews are one-star, a higher share than some brokers with a higher score.

How Does Pepperstone Respond to Complaints?

Its public response rate is strong. Trustpilot shows Pepperstone replied to 90% of negative reviews, usually within a week. That is one of the highest reply rates we have seen in our reviews. The replies often ask traders to email support@pepperstone.com with an account number, though a public reply does not establish that the complaint was resolved.

There are gaps. The two account-closure reviews from September and October 2026 had no reply when we checked, and none of the recent Forex Peace Army complaints showed a company answer. On the Forex Peace Army forum, three of the older Pepperstone complaint threads are marked resolved, mostly about delayed withdrawals in 2015 and 2019.

Pepperstone Withdrawal Rules: Same Method, Same Name, Verification First

We could not open Pepperstone’s funding pages during this review, so confirm the following common withdrawal requirements with your account’s company. Regulated brokers generally require deposits to return to the same card or wallet first, with profits paid by bank wire or another method in your own name. Expect restrictions on third-party payments and checks that your name, ID and address match your payment account.

Two complaints we read came from traders who sent crypto or used a regional payment method, so be extra careful with those. Do a small test withdrawal in your first week. If it arrives in a day or two, you have checked that route before committing more money, though later withdrawals can still face checks or delays.

Is Pepperstone Regulated? FCA, ASIC, CySEC, BaFin, DFSA and the Bahamas

Yes. Pepperstone operates through several licensed companies, and your account’s company determines which protections apply:

  • Pepperstone Group Limited, Australia, ASIC AFS licence 414530, for Australian clients
  • Pepperstone Limited, United Kingdom, FCA reference 684312, with FSCS cover up to £120,000 for eligible clients
  • Pepperstone EU Limited, Cyprus, CySEC licence 388/20, for EU clients, with the Cyprus investor fund up to EUR 20,000
  • Pepperstone GmbH, Germany, BaFin 151148, for German and Austrian clients
  • Pepperstone Financial Services (DIFC) Limited, Dubai, DFSA F004356, professional clients only
  • Pepperstone Financial Services LLC, UAE, Capital Market Authority Category 5 licence from December 2025, which introduces clients to the Bahamas company
  • Pepperstone Markets Kenya Limited, Kenya, CMA licence 128
  • Pepperstone Markets Limited, The Bahamas, SCB licence SIA-F217, for most global clients, including most of Asia

The numbers match across the Pepperstone homepage, Forex Peace Army and CompareForexBrokers. One review site lists a different DFSA number, 309904, while the other sources list F004356. Clients of the Bahamas company get negative balance protection as retail clients, but no compensation fund. We found no FSCA licence in South Africa in any current source, which matters because Pepperstone review South Africa is a popular search.

Pepperstone Regulator Actions and Legal Issues

We found no fine against Pepperstone from any regulator. We did find these regulatory and legal matters:

  • November 2023, ASIC: Pepperstone Group Limited was one of seven CFD brokers named by ASIC that let some retail clients trade above the legal leverage limits set in 2020. All seven reported the problem themselves and paid back clients. Together they paid $4.3 million to more than 1,500 clients. ASIC did not give Pepperstone’s own share.
  • May 2020, Brazil: Brazil’s securities regulator, the CVM, ordered Pepperstone to stop offering services to Brazilian residents, as it has done with many offshore brokers.
  • 2014, Japan: after ASIC inquiries found it was serving Japanese clients without a Japanese licence, Pepperstone left Japan and asked clients there to close positions by the end of 2014.
  • 2026, shareholder dispute: a New South Wales court ordered FX Group Holdings, the company of Pepperstone’s owners, to pay A$96.9 million plus interest to CPE Capital, the private equity group that sold them the business in 2018. Reports say the two sides then agreed a settlement in late February 2026. Pepperstone itself was not a party and says its clients and operations were not affected.

Source: ASIC media release 23-298MR.

For a Bangladeshi trader, the group’s stronger licences do not extend those same protections to an account held with the Bahamas company. People also search is Pepperstone regulated in Kenya: yes, through the CMA. And is Pepperstone available in USA: no, US residents are not accepted.

Is Pepperstone an A-Book Broker?

We could not independently verify how Pepperstone handles every trade. Pepperstone calls itself a no dealing desk broker and says it does not intervene in trades. Like most large CFD brokers, it is still the counterparty to your CFD and can hedge or keep the risk as it chooses. For most traders, the things that matter more are the spread, the commission, slippage and whether profits get paid out. The published cost data and withdrawal feedback are encouraging, but we did not test execution ourselves.

Pepperstone Trustpilot, Reddit and Forex Peace Army Reputation

Search Pepperstone reviews Trustpilot and you will see 4.2 out of 5 from about 3,700 reviews. There is no Trustpilot warning on the page. Trustpilot’s AI summary says most reviewers had a great experience, and lists occasional delays with urgent withdrawals, strict verification and slow support at busy times as the main complaints.

Forex Peace Army shows 3.46 out of 5 from 385 reviews, but the page was last updated in March 2024. On its forum we counted about 14 complaint threads under the Pepperstone tag, mostly from 2015 to 2019 and about delayed withdrawals, spreads on the Razor account and stop-outs. Three are marked resolved. We could not load Reddit during this review, so check Pepperstone review Reddit yourself.

Pepperstone Review Bangladesh: Entity, Payments and Local Reports

A Bangladeshi trader will most likely join the Bahamas company, with leverage up to 1:200 as a retail client and no compensation fund. We found no complaint from Bangladesh on the sites we checked. The nearby cases we found from India and Singapore concern withdrawal delays rather than confirmed losses.

We could not confirm bKash, Nagad or local bank transfer. Cards, Skrill, Neteller and crypto are the methods most likely to work, but check the deposit page after you log in. Bangladesh has its own foreign exchange rules on sending money abroad, so check what applies to you first. If you search Pepperstone deposit Bangladesh or Pepperstone withdrawal Bangladesh, our advice is the same as for every broker: start small and test a withdrawal before you add more.

Pepperstone Pros and Cons

Positive Points

  • Licences from ASIC, the UK FCA, CySEC, BaFin and the DFSA

  • MT4, MT5, cTrader, TradingView and its own web platform
  • No account minimum, no deposit fee and no inactivity fee

  • Most withdrawals processed within one business day

Main Concerns

  • Most global clients, including in Bangladesh, sign with the Bahamas company and get no compensation fund
  • Profitable traders report account closures over “risk management” with no clear reason
  • Named by ASIC in 2023 among seven brokers that broke leverage limits, though it reported this itself and paid clients back
  • Fake “Pepperstone Markets” websites target traders, flagged by a Canadian regulator in October 2026
  • No FSCA licence for South Africa and no bKash or Nagad confirmed
  • Sources disagree on the international wire withdrawal fee
  • Standard account spreads only average

Pepperstone FWE Broker Rating: 79/100

We score every broker out of 100 using the same seven categories. The number reflects the evidence we found and the risks we see. It is not a regulator’s verdict or a promise about your own account.

Rating CategoryScore
Regulation & Fund Safety19/25
Withdrawals & Payments15/20
Reputation & Customer Feedback11/15
Trading Conditions14/15
Transparency7/10
Customer Support8/10
Track Record5/5
Total FWE Rating79/100

Why Did Pepperstone Receive 79/100?

Regulation & Fund Safety (19/25): Five strong licences, including the UK FCA and ASIC, and no regulator fine found in our checks. Points lost because most global and Bangladeshi clients sit under the Bahamas SCB with no compensation fund, and because ASIC named Pepperstone in its 2023 leverage limit case.

Withdrawals & Payments (15/20): Fast, mostly free and with many methods. Points lost for account closures of profitable traders and a few stuck withdrawals and crypto deposits.

Reputation (11/15): A solid 4.2 on Trustpilot and 4.6 on TradingView. Held back by invited reviews, 10% one-star reviews and a 3.46 on Forex Peace Army.

Trading Conditions (14/15): Competitive Razor pricing and a wide platform choice. The Standard account is only average.

Transparency (7/10): Licence numbers are easy to find and generally match across sources. Points lost for closure decisions without reasons and conflicting fee and deposit details between sources.

Customer Support (8/10): A 90% public reply rate on negative reviews is excellent. A few serious complaints still went unanswered.

Track Record (5/5): Sixteen years in business, a tier-1 licence since its early years and steady growth.

Final FWE Rating: 79/100, Top Rated. We treated individual complaints as claims, not proven facts.

Is Pepperstone Legit or a Scam?

Pepperstone is legit. It has held licences from top regulators for years, publishes its licence numbers, and we found no regulator fine against it. The ASIC matter in 2023 concerned breaches of leverage limits that Pepperstone reported itself and compensated clients for, not a finding of missing client money. Calling Pepperstone a scam does not fit the evidence.

Two points still need your attention. First, a trader in Bangladesh will most likely deal with the Bahamas company, not the FCA or ASIC one. Second, we found impersonation risks involving fake websites and “AI trading” offers using the Pepperstone name. Use pepperstone.com and never send money to someone claiming to represent the broker through a personal account.

FWE Final Assessment

FWE Rating79/100Top Rated

Pepperstone meets many of our main checks: strong licences, no regulator fine found, competitive Razor costs, a broad platform choice and mostly positive withdrawal feedback. It also answers most negative reviews in public.

The main weakness for global traders is the company holding their account. The Bahamas company gives you less protection than the UK or Australian one, and a handful of profitable traders say their accounts were closed without a clear reason. Fake Pepperstone websites are a separate risk, so check the domain carefully.

Our verdict is 79/100, Top Rated. It suits traders who want low costs on MetaTrader, cTrader or TradingView and an established broker, provided they understand the protections of their account’s company. Start with a small deposit and a test withdrawal, as you would with any broker.

Pepperstone Review FAQ

Is Pepperstone legit?

Yes. It was founded in 2010 and holds licences from ASIC, the UK FCA, CySEC, BaFin, the DFSA, Kenya’s CMA and the Bahamas SCB. We rate it 79/100, Top Rated.

Is Pepperstone safe for traders in Bangladesh?

Bangladesh is accepted according to review sites, and you will most likely join the Bahamas company. It is a regulated broker, but that company has no compensation fund, so start small and test a withdrawal early.

How long does a Pepperstone withdrawal take?

Most withdrawals are processed within one business day, and bank wires take about two. Your bank or e-wallet may add its own time on top.

Why was my Pepperstone account closed?

Some traders report closures for “risk management” reasons. Ask in writing for the rule and the trades involved, keep your trade history, and use the broker’s complaint process before going to the regulator responsible for your account’s company.

What is the Pepperstone minimum deposit?

There is no account minimum. Most cards and e-wallets start at about $10, and crypto at about $25.

Has Pepperstone ever been fined?

We found no regulator fine. In 2023, ASIC named Pepperstone among seven brokers that broke leverage limits for some clients. All seven reported it themselves and paid clients back.

Is the Pepperstone AI trading offer a scam?

Do not send money through an unsolicited Telegram or WhatsApp offer, or a site pretending to be pepperstone.com. A Canadian regulator flagged a fake “Pepperstone Markets” website in October 2026.

Is Pepperstone available in the USA?

No. Pepperstone does not accept US residents.

Risk Warning

Forex and CFDs are leveraged products, and leverage up to 1:200 or more can wipe out an account fast. Pepperstone itself says around 80% of retail accounts lose money trading CFDs with it. Offshore regulation gives you less protection than regulation in Australia, the EU or the UK. This review is general information, not financial or legal advice. What you are allowed to do, and how you are protected, depends on your country and the company that opens your account.
