73 /100
Review Type Forex Broker
Risk Level Low / Moderate

IC Markets Review 2026 examines the broker’s legal entities, regulation, the UK FCA warning, a confirmed CySEC enforcement action, account costs, trading platforms, withdrawals, customer feedback and the questions relevant to Bangladesh readers.

FWE Rating: 73/100 — Recommended. IC Markets has an established international business, published account conditions and several regulated entities. That does not make every IC Markets account equally protected. A 2024 CySEC fine and an FCA warning updated in 2026 are material concerns that this review does not overlook.

What Is IC Markets?

IC Markets is a forex and contracts-for-difference (CFD) brokerage group associated with Australia and operating through multiple legal entities. Its product range and client terms depend on the entity handling an account. A brand name, trading platform or global website does not by itself establish which legal protections apply.

IC Markets is known for its Raw Spread pricing model and support for widely used trading software. These are features of its offering, not proof that trading is safe or that all customers have identical execution and withdrawal experiences.

Is IC Markets Regulated? Understand the Different Entities

The most important regulatory question is which company would legally hold the account. Regulation of one group member does not automatically protect customers of another member.

EntityRegulator / ReferenceWhat to Check
International Capital Markets Pty LtdASIC, Australia — AFSL 335692Confirm current status and whether the account is actually with this Australian company.
IC Markets (EU) LtdCySEC, Cyprus — 362/18EU rules and retail-client safeguards are entity-specific.
Raw Trading Ltd (IC Markets Global)Seychelles FSA — SD018Offshore regulatory framework; do not assume UK or EU investor protections.
IC Markets LtdSecurities Commission of The Bahamas — SIA-F214Check current licence and customer eligibility independently.

FCA Warning About IC Markets Global — Updated August 2026

Verified regulator finding: The UK Financial Conduct Authority published a warning on 1 October 2024 and updated it on 10 August 2026. The warning names IC Markets Global and identifies icmarkets.com/global/en and ic.com/en, stating that the firm may be providing or promoting financial services in the UK without FCA permission.

The FCA says UK customers dealing with this unauthorised firm would not have access to the Financial Ombudsman Service or Financial Services Compensation Scheme protections normally associated with authorised firms. This warning relates to UK authorisation; it should not be misrepresented as a finding that every IC Markets group company is fraudulent.

Primary source: FCA official warning (updated 10 August 2026).

CySEC €200,000 Fine Against IC Markets (EU) Ltd

Verified regulator action: On 19 July 2024, CySEC announced a €200,000 administrative fine against IC Markets (EU) Ltd. CySEC stated that the company participated in arrangements that circumvented retail CFD initial-margin protection rules by facilitating leverage of up to 1:1000 through a third-country group entity, rather than the applicable 1:30 restriction.

CySEC also referred to a previous infringement in 2021 and said the conduct did not sufficiently protect client interests. This is a documented enforcement matter, not merely a social-media allegation. It is a central reason FWE deducts points for regulation and transparency.

Primary source: CySEC press release, 19 July 2024.

IC Markets Client Fund Safety and Segregated Accounts

Raw Trading Ltd states that client funds are maintained in segregated accounts with banking institutions and describes compliance controls and external audits. This is a company statement, not independent proof that every account or loss is insured.

Segregation is different from deposit insurance. Compensation schemes, complaint channels, negative-balance rules and legal recourse depend on the contracting entity and applicable jurisdiction. No broker licence eliminates market-loss risk.

IC Markets Account Types: Standard vs Raw Spread

AccountPublished Pricing ModelImportant Note
StandardNo separate trading commission; spread markup described as approximately 0.8 pip above raw pricesActual spread changes with market conditions.
Raw Spread (MetaTrader)Raw spread pricing; USD 7 per standard lot round turn on the referenced global termsCommission and spread both count toward total cost.
Raw Spread (cTrader)Raw spread model with a separate commission scheduleVerify the current entity and platform fee table.

IC Markets’ help pages describe these terms, but account availability and pricing may change. Source: IC Markets Global Help Centre and IC Markets EU account comparison.

IC Markets Trading Platforms: MT4, MT5 and cTrader

MetaTrader 4, MetaTrader 5 and cTrader are associated with the IC Markets offering, subject to the entity and account. Platform availability can matter for charting and order management, but it should not be confused with a guarantee of execution quality. During volatile conditions, spreads and slippage may increase.

IC Markets Spreads, Commissions, Swap Fees and Execution

Advertised starting spreads are not average realised spreads. A fair cost comparison should consider spread, per-side commission, overnight financing, slippage, conversion costs and any instrument-specific fees. The published Raw Spread MetaTrader commission of USD 7 per standard lot round turn is a fee schedule, not an estimate of total trading costs.

IC Markets describes an ECN-style pricing model while noting that it is the issuer of its CFD products and holds a licence permitting market-making. Marketing terms such as “ECN” should therefore be read alongside the legal execution and counterparty disclosures.

IC Markets Withdrawal Review 2026

IC Markets Global states that requests received before its daily cutoff are normally processed on the same business day, while later requests may be processed on the following business day. Processing is not the same as receiving funds. Arrival time depends on the payment method, banks, verification and jurisdiction.

Its published policy notes that international bank wires may take up to 14 days and may incur a 20 AUD-equivalent bank processing charge, with other intermediary fees possible. A processing fee may also apply when deposited funds have not been used for trading. These qualifications matter more than a blanket “free and instant withdrawals” claim.

IC Markets Withdrawal Complaints: What Is Verified?

Online customer reviews contain both positive reports of completed withdrawals and complaints about delays, document checks, payment-method limitations or communication. Such reviews are individual customer allegations. FWE has not audited the underlying transaction records and does not treat each complaint as a proven breach.

A delay can arise from bank processing, anti-money-laundering checks, third-party providers or a broker dispute. These explanations are possibilities, not evidence that any particular complaint was justified. Readers should distinguish the original review, any company response and documented resolution.

IC Markets Customer Complaints and Reputation in 2026

Public feedback often highlights trading platforms, spreads and customer-service interactions. Negative posts may concern withdrawal verification, platform behaviour during volatile markets and the handling of support tickets. These accounts are useful signals for further checking, not a statistical audit of all customers.

FWE places more weight on documented regulator actions than on isolated reviews. The FCA warning and CySEC fine are verified primary-source records. Customer allegations remain clearly labelled as such.

IC Markets Customer Support and Dispute Handling

IC Markets advertises customer assistance through online help and support channels. The practical quality of support depends on response time, clarity and whether a dispute receives a documented resolution. A public response is not, by itself, proof that a complaint was resolved.

IC Markets Review 2026: Pros and Cons

Pros

  • Established international broker brand with a lengthy operating history
  • Published Standard and Raw Spread pricing structures
  • MT4, MT5 and cTrader support depending on entity
  • Regulated group entities with identifiable licences
  • Publicly available withdrawal terms and account information

Concerns

  • UK FCA warning concerning IC Markets Global, updated August 2026
  • Confirmed CySEC €200,000 fine against IC Markets (EU) Ltd
  • Legal protections differ materially by account entity
  • Bank-wire costs and processing delays may apply
  • Public customer complaints require case-by-case verification
  • Leveraged CFDs can lead to substantial losses

IC Markets Trading Rules, Leverage and Risk

Leverage, margin requirements, negative-balance protection, trading hours and restricted activities depend on the account entity and product. EU retail leverage limits should not be confused with offshore offerings. High leverage increases the speed at which losses can accumulate and is not a measure of broker quality.

Read the legal client agreement, order-execution policy, risk disclosure and applicable fee schedule for the actual contracting entity before relying on marketing summaries.

IC Markets Review 2026 for Bangladesh Readers

Readers searching for IC Markets Bangladesh, IC Markets review Bangladesh or IC Markets withdrawal Bangladesh should check local rules and the broker’s actual contracting entity. An Australian, Cypriot or Seychelles licence does not automatically constitute authorisation by a Bangladeshi regulator.

FWE has not verified a Bangladesh-specific regulatory approval or a representative dataset of Bangladesh-only withdrawal outcomes. This article does not provide instructions to bypass local restrictions or age and identity requirements.

Is IC Markets a Scam Broker?

The verified evidence reviewed here does not justify a blanket claim that every IC Markets entity is a scam. The group has identifiable licensed entities and a long operating history. However, the FCA warning and CySEC fine are serious, documented facts and must not be dismissed. A balanced review separates regulatory enforcement from customer allegations and the company’s own claims.

IC Markets vs Other Forex Brokers

A useful comparison starts with the account’s legal entity, the applicable regulatory protections, published withdrawal conditions and actual trading costs. FWE separately reviewed Tickmill and Vantage. Different scores reflect the evidence reviewed for each company, not a claim that any broker is suitable for every reader.

How Forex Wave Expert Rates IC Markets

The FWE 100-point score is an editorial judgment, not a regulator-issued safety certificate. Points are assigned to the seven categories below using the information available as of October 2026.

Withdrawals & Payments13/20Published process and successful customer reports, balanced against delays and fee qualifications.

Total73/100Recommended

Why not Top Rated? The UK FCA warning and the confirmed CySEC fine materially affect the assessment. Why above Average / Neutral? The broker’s operating history, identifiable entities, published account terms and platform offering are meaningful strengths. The score can change if new verified evidence warrants it.

Why IC Markets Gets 73/100 from FWE

FWE Rating73/100Recommended

Overall assessment: Established broker, with important entity-specific regulatory concerns. IC Markets has useful published trading terms and an extensive operating record. But the 2024 CySEC fine and FCA warning updated in August 2026 deserve prominent attention, particularly for readers who may confuse different legal entities.

FWE’s 73/100 score recognises both sides. “Recommended” is a category in the FWE editorial scoring system, not personalised investment advice, a guarantee of withdrawals or an invitation to trade leveraged products.

IC Markets Review 2026: Final Verdict

IC Markets has established infrastructure, multiple trading platforms and published pricing that compare favourably on several measures. At the same time, regulation is not uniform across the group, and two official records—the FCA warning and CySEC enforcement—are substantial reasons for caution. FWE assigns 73/100 (Recommended) while encouraging readers to verify the exact entity and current terms independently.
